Just two more creations using the Adventure With God stamp set! My other three designs are here if you would like to take a look.

Now on this first card, there’s added “texture” to the background in the form of embroidery floss while on the second notecard, it combines with origami folds to make the sentiment visible only after you unfold the paper, and for that I followed the steps from one of my origami tutorials from 2008 .

YOU KEEP ME GROUNDED

The background panel was coloured with grey and brownish pigment inks. Also stamped an image of sketchy lines and then adhered embroidery floss to add some details.

HOW-TO STEPS

1. Stamp and colour with Zig CCRB markers. Hair and skin – Dark Gray, Brick Brown, Natural Beige, Mustard; hat – Brick Brown, Oatmeal, Brown; backpack, shoes – Ochre, Brown; shorts – Cornflour Blue, Shadow Mauve; tee – Light Carmine, Tea Rose; ground – Ochre, Mid Green, Olive Green; bird – Bright Yellow, Yellow
2. Fussy cut the image.
3. On a card panel, colour the background with grey and brown inks.
4. Pad along the edge of the card panel with a gold ink pad.
5. Align and stamp the sentiments and messy lines image onto the panel.
6. Place shreds of embroidery floss.
7. On the cutout, stick pieces of foam tape all over the back. Adhere it on top of the embroidery floss. I simple let the foam tape keep the floss in place.
8. Adhere panel onto a card base.

HOW-TO STEPS

1. Select a suitable piece of patterned paper and trim it to be 4.5″ x 4.5″.
2. Follow this origami tutorial to create the fold lines.
3. Align and stamp the messy line image with a light brown ink, followed by the sentiment in dark brown ink.
4. Write the verse under the sentiment with a black marker.
5. Cut small pieces of the embroidery floss and adhere with glue.
6. Make an envelope with the mini envelope punch board.
