[Chapter: Living]Recently at a bookstore I saw a book about the life of Yeo Thian In, the founder of a local company under the “New books” section and I was warmly thrilled!

My grandpa had close ties with the founder, his family and the company, hence I assumed there would be some mention of him or maybe a picture too. I flipped through and behold grandpa was there! My grandpa in the 1960s. And then my tears welled up.
He passed away when I was 12. I often think how wonderful it would be to hear him speak over the pulpit during service, get a chance to ask him about his Christian faith, his work and his thoughts about this and that. I wish I could discuss and learn from him…
Well, if there was anything he left as his legacy (to me at least), it would be his faithfulness to the Lord and his disciplined lifestyle. He was still working in his eighties.
Grandpa had a collection of small knick knacks (the cute type) which he had displayed over his desk and against the wall. It was a popular destination among the grandkids, including me of course, who were enamoured of all the kawaiiness.

Your grandpa was an exceptional man and a great testament for those who come behind him. Reminds me of Steve Green’s song, but I forgot the title. No I remember it’s Find us Faithful! Aww, how sweet that he had a soft spot for cuteness.
