Spices

The last 2 weeks I bought some new spices. First is a tin of Greek spice mix from Jones the Grocer, an Aussie gourmet store + restaurant at Dempsey Road.

The spice mix is pretty salty. I’ve been using it to marinate anything I have before putting anything to bake. I have fallen in love with its delightful taste.

Next, I was visiting a supermarket in another part of town last week when I found organic spices from McCormick. I have not seen these organic versions elsewhere and hence this is an example of a much dreaded situation. I want to continue to buy these McCormick spices but they seem to be only available at this supermarket, which simply means I would need to make a special trip just to get them. It’s crazy sometimes to have to travel between supermarkets just to get the groceries you want.
