The last 2 weeks I bought some new spices. First it’s a tin of Greek spice mix from Jones the Grocer, an Aussie gourmet store + restaurant at Dempsey Road.

The Greek spice mix is pretty salty so there’s no need to use any salt in the marinade. I’ve been using it to marinate anything I have before putting anything to bake. I have fallen in love with its delightful taste.

Next, I was in a hypermart in another part of town last week when I found organic spices from McCormick. I haven’t seen these organic versions elsewhere and this is an example of a tricky phenomenon. What I mean is store outlet A can offer certain products which you will never find at outlet B, C or D or in a competitor’s store. It’ll be so nice and convenient to have every brand that I want found under one roof.
