Simple Blank Journals For Kids (Pencil and Bicycle Themes)

Chapter:    Series: Journals

These came as a custom request from a dad for his two young kids. I took the opportunity to add pages saved from an old New Zealand Woman’s Weekly magazine. The magazine spread which has fun facts and questions for kids consists of 2 pages. I included one page to each journal. And since the recipients are siblings they can exchange to read what’s on the corresponding page if they wanted to.

These journals are wrapped with an adjustable cotton cord.

The inside pages are coloured pages stapled to the cover. The journals measure about 12.5 cm x 21 cm with 48 pages excluding the magazine centrespread.

I so happened to have a pencil pin that truly was meant to go together with the patterned paper. I saved a portion of the patterened paper to make a tag for the pin to attach to.

Here’s a quiz question from one of the pages mentioned above: who were the first to create ketchup? Watch the video for the answer.
