Playmobil wedding
There was a time when Playmobil toys suddenly disappeared from the face of our island…gone from the shelves in shops at every corner! I had no clue what happened but I only knew I missed them because of my fond memories of playing with their figurines as a kid.
In the late 90s when I arrived in Europe, I was overjoyed to met the familiar gang again in shops. I’d found my long-lost childhood friends! I bought a few mini sets to start a mini community. I remembered also buying a wedding couple for a friend who was going to tie the knot. And I had to emphasise to her that the pair had travelled all the way from Paris!

After the millenium, there was a local shop owned by a German who sold quite a nice selection, and about that time, when my mum asked what should we get for my nephew’s birthday, I uttered “Playmobil” of course! And we did. Subsequently more stores started stocking the toys until today.
