Patching up with fabric paint

[Chapter: DIY + tutorials]

Before this wordy patch on my tee showed any sign of cracking (ie when it was brand new), I gave it a coat of fabric stiffener innocently hoping that it would do the trick. But it didn’t, even with very gentle hand washing. Admittedly, I’m pretty bothered by those streaks which I find unsightly. So I headed to a local craft store, wondering if I would be able to find a suitable paint or glitter that could help patch things up nicely. And I did find a match – the Dylon fabric paint in gold.

I stretched every gap a little wider and dotted with paint using a toothpick, then left the patch to dry before covering the area with cloth and went over it with a hot iron. I found that a little paint goes a long way. After several washings, the paint is holding up pretty well.
