Paper snails

[Chapter: DIY + tutorials]

For the last 5 days or so my laptop took off for a holiday and refused to cut short vacation-time until today. I have no clue what happened and all I could do was initiate re-booting again and again until Paul finally came back. I’m relieved for now. Yeah, that’s my laptop’s name :)

Before Paul’s escapade, I made snails to hand out to a few little kids around me.

As you can see, they’re easy to make and draw, and designed for little ones to craft along. The instructions are on this Japanese site (while link lasts) which begins by simply making a diagonal fold on a piece of square, and then fold each opposite end of the triangle to make the tail and head respectively. For their eyes, I cut out “Vs” and pasted circle punch-outs.

Now if you will excuse me, I need to clear 5-days worth of mail-log. Incidentally I realised that I owe replies to a few emails received since June! Big Oops! Forgive me, I will get to them asap.
