The cover for this journal took several tries before I was finally happy with it. It was one of those times when nothing went right, many times over. Due to the repeated attempts I was left with extra patterned papers which I ended using as cutouts and as a cover for a smaller notebook.
The bottom teal coloured section on the cover was sewn onto the patterned paper with a sewing machine. The window frame on the cover is where the hint of gold is. It was die cut out of gold cardstock. Also, since I had lots of leftover patterned papers, I trimmed out the flowers and turned them into stickers for a bouquet on the first page and to decorate a few other pages.
