[Chapter: Japanese + zakka]

If I get the chance to visit Kyoto again, I would really want to pop in to the Kaikado shop to buy their sleek tea metal canisters.

Made by hand the old traditional way passed down from their founder, these vessels will keep not just tea leaves but anything that requires air-tight storage.

What’s cool and sophisticated is the way the lid glides down confidently to its sealed position while expelling air from the canister. It is something like the way an iPhone box lid closes by itself.
