What a world it would be if more makers could join hands with one another to re-engineer each other’s jettisoned materials in order to cut waste and churn out something in demand in the process.

I am encouraged by Preserve‘s company slogan “Nothing Wasted. Everything Gained.” which sends a message of commitment to use materials sensibly. Their Mail-Back pack encourages users to mail their toothbrushes (made from recycled yoghurt cups) back to Preserve who will then send them to a partner company that will grind them up, and convert into plastic lumber for use in new picnic tables, park benches and boardwalks.

A few weeks ago I mentioned about MyHabit and often, I see some really great bargains listed there that get snapped up very quickly. For today, I’m particularly drawn to these friendship bracelets just listed (ends 2 August) because they are in little ways similar to my sunshine bracelets.

How cute is this Teardrop trailer for hire in the UK from Clever Camper?

Apart from the wonderful suggestions by Clever Camper to use it for “…touring, romantic getaways, festivals and sporting events, and instant guest accommodation”, I think it will be great for wedding shoots too. How nice if we could have this on our island.
